由於閩南語沒有ㄈ音，ㄈ(f)多發成ㄏ(h)音。如「發生」念成「花生」、「舒服(shufu)」念成「蘇胡(suhu)」。
空韻ㄓ(zhi)、ㄔ(chi)、ㄕ(shi)、ㄖ(ri)、ㄗ(zi)、ㄘ(ci)、ㄙ(si)的會加上ㄨ(u)。如「自己」念成「駔己」。
多出來的ㄨ(w)音。如上例「發(fa)生」念成「花(hwa)生」、「很(hen)」念成「混(huen)」。[5]
