3 characteristics of Taiwanese Chinese

台灣國語主要三個特徵
There are 3 main characteristics of Speaking Chinese in Taiwan.
一.為ㄦ化韻的消失；the disappearance of retroflx ending ㄦ
故，台灣人說話很少詞尾帶ㄦ聲。Our Taiwanese seldom speak with retroflx ending ㄦ.

二.為捲舌音的消退，The disappearance of retroflexion.
捲舌音ㄓㄔㄕ與非捲舌音ㄗㄘㄙ一般台灣也分辨不大出差別。
They are not easy to be distinguish between ㄓㄔㄕ and ㄗㄘㄙ.

三.為雙元音短化。The shortened diphthong.
ㄡ與ㄨㄛ同發ㄛ，ㄟ與ㄧㄝ同發ㄝ。
ㄡ≒ㄨㄛ ≒ㄛ;
ㄟ≒一ㄝ≒ㄝ
